This Privacy Policy incorporates the practices of AccuSource as they pertain to data submitted by clients and to other information secured from third parties and other sources in connection with delivering background screening information or results to our clients. This Privacy Policy also covers AccuSource's website and AccuSource's practices in relation to handling personal information provided to AccuSource over the internet by the general public using AccuSource's publicly available website. Access to AccuSource web pages and online services is not available to the general public and requires login information that includes a username and password. Such web pages, and the information downloadable to and from such web pages, are only available to AccuSource's clients. On such web pages, AccuSource only collects information that the user voluntarily shares with AccuSource.
If you are using this website to open an employment screening account with AccuSource, we collect the information requested on our account application form, including contact information and financial information (such as credit card number or billing information). This information is used for internal purposes such as account set-up, billing, order fulfillment and customer service.
Use of Personal Information
AccuSource's clients provide personal information regarding their employees or prospective employees when placing an order for background screening services, Information provided may include but is not limited to residential history, personal history including name, date of birth, social security number, driver's license number, professional license information, employment history, education and other credentials. AccuSource will use information provided by the client and subject of the order, along with any other information provided by third parties, only for the execution of producing a background screening report for the client placing the order, and for no other purpose.
AccuSource will not use your information to conduct background screening and create a report unless AccuSource's client has provided a certification required by the FCRA and any other applicable law. In this certification, AccuSource's client certifies to AccuSource that it has a legally permissible purpose for ordering the background screen, and that it has obtained your informed consent to conduct the background screen to the extent required by applicable law.
Information Disclosure and Sharing
AccuSource acts in compliance with FCRA and any other applicable law. AccuSource does not sell or rent personal information to third parties. AccuSource will not disclose your personal information to ta third party without your permission, except in connection with performing your background screen for AccuSource's client or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
AccuSource may disclose personal information as required in connection with any of the purposes for which we use personal information as described above in "Use of Personal Information."
While executing orders for our clients, AccuSource may transfer personal information between our website, our client and our client's employee or prospective employee. AccuSource may also disclose your information to certain third parties as required to conduct the background investigation (such as educational institutions, prior employers, courts, law enforcement agencies, and other persons or entities that may provide or verify information about you), as well as to a third-party representative or subcontractor authorized by AccuSource to assist in the background screening. Such third-party representatives and subcontractors include service providers that help host or support the web site or otherwise provide technical support, court researchers and other information and service providers. AccuSource transfers to these representatives and subcontractors only the relevant personal information required to complete the background screening report. AccuSource requires that these parties maintain commercially reasonable measures to protect the confidentiality of your information.
AccuSource may also, in good faith, disclose personal information and any other additional information available to
AccuSource, for any of the following purposes: i) to investigate, prevent or take action regarding actual or suspected illegal activities or fraud; situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person; or violations of AccuSource's terms of use; (ii) to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process; (iii) to establish AccuSource's legal rights; or (iv) otherwise to comply with applicable laws.
AccuSource may acquire other business or may be acquired by other businesses. In such circumstances, information collected by AccuSource may be one of the assets examined or transferred as part of the transaction. AccuSource will not permit another business to examine the information collected by AccuSource without a confidentiality agreement and only to the extent permitted by law. AccuSource will not transfer the information it has collected unless the recipient agrees to provide privacy protection equal to or more than those established by this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information Disclosure: United States or Overseas
Personal information submitted to AccuSource for the purpose of background screening may, at times, be transferred outside of the United States, especially if AccuSource is performing verification of your credentials or professional history during the times you were in a country outside of the United States. All personal information will be transmitted and stored in a secure manner as per the terms of this Privacy Policy.

AccuSource's web site may use the standard technology known as a "cookie" to collect information about the way you use this web site. . In order to collect this information, when you visit this web site, a "cookie" may be set on your computer. Cookies contain information that allows the web serves to recognize whenever you visit. AccuSource's data is transferred utilizing secure socket layer (SSL) technology and is User ID and Password protected. Our servers reside in a secure environment protected from unauthorized access, natural disaster, fire or other compromising conditions. All processes take place at co-located facilities in separate regions of the United States, so even in the event of a regional disaster; your personal data remains secure.
Retention
Pursuant to the FCRA, we must maintain any reports that we generate for a minimum of five years. AccuSource maintains written or electronic copies of information received in conjunction with services rendered for a period of seven years. Information is subsequently destroyed either electronically or mechanically.
Confidentiality
AccuSource will maintain the confidentiality of all personal information and will under no circumstances sell or distribute personal information to a third-party, except as provided in this Privacy Policy or when required to do so by law. This Privacy Policy will survive the transfer of ownership of AccuSource, should such an event occur.
Our Commitment to Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information on our website from those we actually know are under the age of 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.
Changes
If it is determined in the future that information will be used in a new and material way, AccuSource will notify all active clients via e-mail 30 days in advance of any changes.
